It is for an update to my visit to some supermarkets which they are located in close proximity from GCU. As we know all the infection rate of covid-19 is gaining momentum and more people are now getting infected and more new cases are identified in recent a couple of days. Therefore I went to see how people are reacting to the novel corona virus and I found it beyond my expectation. I don’t know how sensational we are and how fast we are reacting. I was intended to get hand sanitizer jell from a supermarket stores and I managed to visit 11 site (four supermarkets three small four small shops and three online shopping stores). It was to my surprise I found zero hand sanitizer jell in all visited stores except in two online stores (eBay UK and amazon UK). Not only that the online super stores can only deliver the item with in next four to six weeks. I am extremely overwhelmed with what I experienced this morning therefor I start to ask myself few things in regard Covid-19 transmission cycle, but I also noticed that the gap already created between the consumer demand and the chain of supply is quite frustrating. So how it will going forward if there is not sufficient supply? How long the supplier need to provide all necessary things? Is the government is putting some plans to help the suppliers to enhance or increase their production rate by some percentile? How can we reassure our community from panicking? The big question to me was, I expect many people are using hand sanitizer but I haven’t seen a single person with mask, so is using hand sanitizer jell is effective (this is b/c it has a bactericidal effect but not effective for viruses)? Therefore in addition to hand sanitizer, effective hand washing techniques are also essential. Therefore what I have learnt this morning is that, how we are becoming so sensible and reacting fast enough towards positivity.
