Diversity is not a strength by itself, which means been hugely diversified community doesn’t mean you become stronger than the other community which is less diverse. Sometimes a diverse community are prone to conflicts, but that either doesn’t mean that less diverse communities experience less conflicts. I can give an example from my point of view to this case. There is a country in the horn of Africa, they speak one language, and they belief in one religion, they are less diverse than a neighboring country, but they stack civil war and conflict since 1990’s. Therefore we can view the idea of diversity and conflict or strength in two categories. The strength often comes from the concept of mutualism and communalism. There is a proverb in my language says “ten sticks tie by a thread”. These 10 sticks represent the diverse multiculturalism of a society and when they are tied by the tread that is the belief they developed on mutualism, communalism, and trust on common ground. These spices make the diversity look good and stronger. This days the UK universities are much diverse than 20 or 30 years ago. Coming from different background, social life, religious beliefs, life style has a significant input to my own experience. I have learned many things from so many individuals and I shared my own experience too. We share all one thing in common that is the need to change our future. Some of us good thinkers, entrepreneurs, inventors, good speakers, leaders, team workers, pioneers and our cumulative impute can make a change and I understand we have a common ground that we need to work on it and we can improve our weaknesses by sharing ideas that can help each other because Unity is strength.
